AAALAC international 全称 Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care international（国际实验动物管理评估与认证协会），成立于1965年，是权威的评估和认证动物饲养和使用标准的国际机构，它要求在生物科学、医药领域人道、科学地对待动物。

AAALAC组织是一个独立的非政府组织，提倡在科学研究中进行高水平的动物研究并人道的对待动物。根据该组织认证规程，评估在研究、教学或测试中使用动物的组织，那些达到或超过AAALAC标准的组织将获得认证，所有通过认证的单位须每3年接受一次复检，其中首次复检尤其严格。包括实验动物中心和研究实验室两部分，涉及到实验动物项目的方方面面，从硬件到软件，从人员培训到管理、监督体制，都是现场检查。

目前，50个国家/地区的1100多个组织已获得AAALAC认证。

Accreditation Program Fees

（一）认证项目费用

申请认证的机构须在申请获批后、现场评估前缴纳不可退还的申请费。所有参与认证项目的机构均需缴纳年费。若在常规三年周期前开展临时现场复查（无论由AAALAC国际或机构发起），相关费用通常由机构承担，且不包含在以下费用中。

Institutions applying for accreditation must pay a non-refundable application fee after the application is approved and before the on-site evaluation. All institutions participating in the accreditation program are required to pay an annual fee. If an interim on-site review is conducted before the regular three-year cycle (whether initiated by AAALAC International or the institution), the relevant fees are usually borne by the institution and are not included in the following fees.

AAALAC国际在申请审核期间根据项目规模划分组别。这一分类主要依据项目规模、现场访问所需时间及其他服务提供情况，以此制定公平的费用表。若机构拖欠费用，其认证可能被撤销。

AAALAC International classifies institutions into groups based on program size during the application review process. This classification is mainly based on program scale, the time required for on-site visits, and other service provisions to develop a fair fee schedule. If an institution defaults on fees, its accreditation may be revoked.

AAALAC按季度开展评估工作：

AAALAC conducts evaluations on a quarterly basis:

- 冬季季度（1月–3月）：项目描述文件（Program Descriptions）提交截止日期为12月1日（新申请为11月1日）。认证委员会（Council on Accreditation）于5月召开会议。

- Winter Quarter (January–March): The deadline for submitting Program Descriptions is December 1st (November 1st for new applications). The Council on Accreditation meets in May.

- 夏季季度（5月–7月）：项目描述文件提交截止日期为4月1日（新申请为3月1日）。认证委员会于9月召开会议。

- Summer Quarter (May–July): The deadline for submitting Program Descriptions is April 1st (March 1st for new applications). The Council on Accreditation meets in September.

- 秋季季度（9月–11月）：项目描述文件提交截止日期为8月1日（新申请为7月1日）。认证委员会于1月召开会议。

- Fall Quarter (September–November): The deadline for submitting Program Descriptions is August 1st (July 1st for new applications). The Council on Accreditation meets in January.
